Ice Fishing

Actually saw a few people with their cars and trucks on the ice.  When it is 60 degrees that seems nuts to me.

Another try at this one

Been looking at good B+W images which always inspires.  Been working this one.  I think it is better than the last try but still lacking.  What the previous version was missing was black and white.  That is to say that nothing was black in the image and nothing was white.  Too gray.

I think the problem with this one is that the boat should be a little lighter. Drops a little too quickly to black.

Finally came up with a book theme

Images from the smrlabs.com blog.  This solves a variety of organizational problems for me.  Specifically it doesn’t really need any.  I think once I do ONE of these things I’ll have a better feel for doing more of them.

It will either be a My Publisher or a Blurb book.  Both have their own software.  Whichever is easier is the one I’ll try first.

No Line On The Horizon

So far I quite like the new U2 album No Line On The Horizon.  This despite the fact that it sounds a wee bit like a cross between The Unforgettable Fire and Zooropa.  (As I seem to recall Zooropa was my favorite album ever for about 2 weeks.  I really don’t understand that at all.)  So far Magnificent and Moment of Surrender are my favs.

Twitter

I understand that blogs are the soap box for the uninformed opinion.  I don’t know if that is good or bad but Twitter doesn’t even seem to aspire to that.

From what I can tell it is just Jim’s Journal come to life.  Doesn’t seem to be a good thing.
