One from when I thought winter might actually end

Nothing says spring quite like a blizzard

Took a walk in the snow around Lake Normandale.  Had the 40D with me.

Another from Wild River

A quick one from Wild River

I shot over 200 images at Wild River today.  Way too many of Swans and an Eagle.  I should have spent more time at this bit of swamp.

Lots of photo shoots have been done in front of this door

Used to be more done around the rest of the building but eventually the windows were boarded up and it isn’t so good anymore.  Shot with the G9.

Grab shot

Someday I’ll take a decent photo of this building.  This isn’t it.  Just not sure how to crop this right.  I’m pretty sure there is a better vantage point than my parking spot.

Canon G9 at ISO 80.

Spine

It has been just over 2 weeks since my last physical therapy session.   I think I need a “tune up”.

I’ve restored my range of motion but it has taken more than a little bit of work.  The key stretch is laying on a rolled up towel.  Put the towel between your shoulder blades and wait until your shoulders slowly work their way to the floor.  Between that and reverse head lifts the hitch in my vertebrae went away.

In better news my lower back is holding its own.  I got some (brutal) new exercises for it that seem to be helping.  Not the stuff you want to be doing with any kind of sinus headache.  Makes your head feel like it is going to pop.

Joys of getting old.

Black and White one from Glacier

Been home ill today.  Managed an appointment with my regular doctor.  My sinuses seem to be responding to some of the stuff he got me.  The upshot of this is that I’m able to look at my monitor without wanting to barf.  The result of that is a B+W treatment of one of my Glacier photos.  I so wanted to go back later in the day to the spot I took this one and try something around sunset.  Wasn’t to be.

This is over sharpened and the contrast isn’t quite right but that’s the level of gumption I have right now.
