G9 at ISO 1600. Tried to cover that up by nastying the image.

All with the Canon EOS 40D. I really like Live Veiw. You get everything lined up, punch the live view button and check everything. Punch the shutter. Way nice.

This is down around the Minnesota River. Shot with the G9 at I think ISO 80. (Which is a testament to just how slow geese fly.)

Took this one today. Dunno why I like B+W photos of what are normally color subjects.

I think I like the tight crop version better…

Too darned windy today.

Expect to see this Guitar a lot for a while. I would like one great photo of it. Anywho, this is one taken yesterday. Worked on it while I tried to figure out what position does not cause acid to rush up my esophagus. (Bravo test started today. Cannot wait until I can load up on antacids again.)

This one went better. Still having issues getting the damned flashes to fire when I want them to.

This is what I’ve found. The optical slaves that MPEX sells are so unreliable as to be completely worthless. They would not fire a flash at any point. So I’m going to go wired for a while. I need a new wire to run from the one flash to another. I wanted to backlight everything.
Aesthetically this isn’t as nice a composition as the last time I tried this. The layout just isn’t quite right. I’m also using a tarp as a back drop and I haven’t had a chance to paint it. (I’m pretty sure if I don’t paint it in the garage I’ll have two cats stuck to it.)
Anywho. First try with the new lighting stuff and the 40D.
