Snap Dragons (I think. Not an expert.) at Upper Sioux Agency. Was actually looking for another photo but I can’t get the conversion I want out of CS3. Once again I mourn the death of Raw Shooter Premium. Truly a superior product.
Anywho, the B+W conversion was done with the new B+W tool in photoshop. A couple oddities that if I go back I’ll fix.
Maybe should have cropped a little tighter. If you sit back it works. If you sit close the “star” flower is kind of lost. Something to look for, I guess, should I be there at the right time again. (Which, BTW, is what keywording and exif is for. I can find this and see when I should show up again.)

TRNP again. I’ve some photos of this that are kind of interesting but none that I really like. Oh, well. I was also working on a couple of B+W TRNP images. But I ran out of steam and decided I liked them enough to not want to post half assed versions of them. So I post this.
Interesting thing about this one is the color gamut change between my working prophoto color space and the srgb color space the jpeg is in. There is a lot more color in the grass of the pro photo version. Not so much this.

National Wildlife Refuge from just bellow flying cloud airport. They do not have the overlooks open there anymore which is really too bad.
I’ve posted versions of this image before. This one is done with Adobe Photomerge. 4 or 5 images combined into one. Lens correction used to try to straigten it out. Then noise reduction. (This was a very noisy image.) And the exposure was very tough. So after all the work to get the exposure reasonable the colors were, um, odd. Fixing that was an adventure and resulted in colors not seen in nature. But they’re closer than they were. So what you see in this photo may be a complete fantasy, but I like the feel of it.
