Screaming Monkey Research Laboratories

I’ve wondered this for a while.  Why is it called “Good” Friday?  Is it a Roman Holiday?  All the Centurions get together and celebrate?

They drink and trash talk — “Woo!  Rome one, Messiahs nothing!  There’s the man himself!  MVP!  MVP!  MVP!  That’s Most Valuable Pontius, baby!” — and then crucify a rabbit?

I had my annual physical this year.  Turns out I’m 6’6”.  I always was a basketball (read: in shoes) 6’6”.  Now, some 40+ years into my existence, I am actually 6’6”.  I wasn’t aware people grew at this age.  The current guess is that all my spine stretching is having an effect.

Beats me, man.

I’ll say this – it works much much better with communal mail servers (read: those used by those of us on shared hosting) than the previous versions.

Edit: What it doesn’t do all that well is import my eudora email. I think the biggest issue is that the mail has links to non existent files and directories. Once I clean those up it should be better.

Picked up one of these for $15 from Target.  Makes a nice waffle.

CNN has a "Does Obama deserve the nobel?" poll.  This is silly.  People who think that he does not deserve the prize do not understand why he won it.  He won it for not being George W Bush.  That is the sole reason.  Do not let any one tell you otherwise.

I’d give him a prize for that if I was in the business of handing out prizes.

There is an Eggo waffle shortage.  How on earth is there an Eggo waffle shortage?  The only Eggos I could find were strawberry Eggos.  I’m forced to eat substandard Cub branded waffles.  Are we in Russia?

This is no way to live.

Oh lordy.  They have a nasty after taste.
